The Book Thief! I haven't read it for a while so I took it out of the library again... it's sitting on my shelf waiting for me to reread it. Markus Zusak is a genius. That book is epic.

What did you think of Graceling and Fire, btw? And I think I'm the only person in the world who didn't really like Pride and Prejudice.

I can see the writing in Poison Study turning you away from it. Some books are like that. I think The Demon's Lexicon and Covenant also have very specific writing that doesn't attract everyone.

I have a theory that the reason books (ie, Harry Potter, Twilight, The Hunger Games) become super popular is because the action is somehow made to matter so much that it eclipses the writing, because frankly, I love Harry Potter, and I really like The Hunger Games, but I don't think they're all that amazingly written. And Twilight - whatever.

I think I'm 139 for Mockingjay... The BN idea is actually a great one, hmmm :)
