Know what I found interesting? I was thinking about this exact thing when I watched Argo, which was so specific that it wasn't universal at all. So maybe the above applies but only to a character, and not to a setting/character defined by a setting.

OOOH. I like that. Because I'm such a strong believer in what this quote says, but what you're saying is true, too!

And I suppose it's the humanity of a character that we're relating to. So we need to know what defines them as human, not what defines their job or where they live.
